I am a music collaborator and arts administrator dedicated to shaping thoughtful, high-quality musical experiences both on and off the stage. With a background in clarinet performance, I work closely with ensembles and artistic teams while managing concert logistics, programming, and production. My practice combines creative collaboration with strategic planning, aiming to support meaningful and engaging music-making within the community.
Chamber Group: Mendel Sons Trio
July 2019, I formed a chamber trio group with my friends Marvin Tan (clarinet) and Alden Wong (piano) to explore and perform repertoire for two clarinets and piano. Inspired by our admiration for Felix Mendelssohn, we named our group Mendel Sons, with “Sons” symbolizing dedication and legacy, regardless of gender.
My Role in Musicians’ Initiative
Digital Marketing Team:Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to promote events.Create engaging content for social media platforms, including video production for IG reels.Design posters, graphics, and promotional materials.Increase audience engagement through targeted online campaigns and content creation.
Orchestra Management: Coordinate logistics for rehearsals, performances, and collaborations. Manage scheduling, venue arrangements, and artist communications. Ensure smooth execution of rehearsals and performances.
Singapore International Piano Competition and Singapore International Young Pianist Competition 2024-2025 Organizing Committee
The Korea-China Vocal Competition required managing logistics for 45 jury members, a mix of Chinese and Korean professors from prestigious conservatories. I coordinated their accommodations, schedules, and other needs, while ensuring respect for the hierarchical structures within the group. Simultaneously, I took on the role of emcee, crafting and delivering my own scripts for the gala and champion concerts, contributing to the event’s professionalism and success.
